Given the crucial role of the legal department, ALM Intelligence took the pulse of general counsel at U.S. corporations to find out what were the major issues likely to keep them up at night in the upcoming year. The results of the survey provide an insight not only into the thinking of senior legal officers, but also into the level of confidence of U.S. corporations about the prospects for coming year.
Welcome to the General Counsel Up At Night Survey. The objective of this survey is to gain insight into what challenges are on the minds of the General Counsel audience. The data collected in this survey will be used to create an index focusing on five key areas that legal departments find most challenging: privacy and data security, regulation and enforcement, litigation, risk and crisis management, and intellectual property. Data will be collected twice a year and compiled to show trends over time and provide insights into the concerns today's legal departments face and the amount of time spent on these concerns.
