Survey to U.S. corporate law departments to ascertain their views on legal outsourcing. For clarity, the survey defined “outsource” to mean when a company sends legal work to a non-law firm entity in the United States or abroad: “sending (i) legal work (e.g., legal research and writing, contract drafting, and electronic discovery) to (ii) a non-law firm entity (iii) within or outside the United States.”  Also included in the broad definition was any “legal work outsourced by your outside law firm on your behalf.”
