Surveys

The Summer Associate Hiring Surveys looks at the staffing of summer associates at Am Law 200 firms.  The report includes counts for interns broken out by law school year, gender, ethnicity and also includes year-over-year data for offers and acceptances and average weekly salary.  Firm names are arranged alphabetically.

Methodology/Sources:
The report is an extract of the Summer Associates survey, published annually in October.  The survey is conducted from June to July. Surveys are distributed through the firms' recruiting coordinators whom we contact in the spring about participation. Eligible summer associates are first- and second-year law students clerking at firms for at least three weeks during the summer.

Note: Summer Hiring headcounts are self-reported, unpublished data provided by the individual firm.  Due to the way law firms may count their staff in various categories, numbers may not agree in some cases. Cases where firm did not provide any detailed staffing counts are indicated with "N/A".  _________________________________________________________
